Pregnancy Yoga Classes

New for 2025. Wednesdays 1pm-215pm - term time-at Lanivet Community Centre.

Spend some nurturing time out with other mums to be and enjoy the many benefits yoga, breathing and relaxation can bring throughout your pregnancy & birth.

Pregnancy Yoga is suitable from 14 weeks pregnant up to 40+ weeks.

Due to it’s unique offering, you don’t need to have any prior yoga experience to attend my classes. Every class is lovingly crafted to ensure all specific needs are met. This gentle but effective style of yoga focuses on the many emotional and physical benefits for you and baby.

Some benefits include:

Making space for baby

Releasing tension in the lower back, hips and pelvis

Improving strength & stamina- essential for an empowered pregnancy and birth.

Guiding you through gentle exercise and yoga positions to encourage baby into the optimum fetal position

Providing an opportunity to slow down and connect with baby

Encouraging relaxation of the body and mind,- essential for your wellbeing

Teaching you invaluable techniques for labour and birth, encouraging a calm, empowered and confidence in welcoming your baby into the world.

A lovely opportunity to connect with other local mums to be, in a safe and warm environment.

The earlier you start pregnancy yoga, the more your body will intuitively know how to respond throughout your pregnancy. It helps to prepare your body for the ever emotional and physical changes that pregnancy and birth bring.

I work during the week, how can I attend a daytime class?

Daytime classes are NEW for 2025 after popular demand.

These lunchtime classes are a perfect way of not only taking a well deserved break during your busy day, but freeing up your evenings for rest and relaxation. Especially during the cold, wet and dark winter evenings.

Did you know, if you are employed, you are entitled to reasonable (paid) time off to attend any antenatal classes recommended by your Midwife or G.P, which includes Pregnancy Yoga Classes?!

Or, if you prefer, you can come to class on your lunch break!

What happens during a class?

Classes always begin with a complimentary herbal tea and an informal group chat to see how you are feeling. This is a valuable time to connect with other pregnant women in your group and form a sense of community.

You will then be guided gently and expertly through your pregnancy yoga session in a welcoming and fun manner. At the end of the class is an opportunity to rest and relax through a guided meditation for a few moments of stillness. Restoring your body and mind ready for the week ahead.

What do I need to bring?

I provide yoga mats and props, but you may bring your own if you wish. For some of the classes you will also need a birthing ball. An optional travel cup for herbal tea, a bottle of water to drink, a pillow/cushion, a cosy blanket for relaxation. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.

What is the investment?

Book your weekly yoga time for an investment of £68 for a term of 6 weekly consecutive classes. For this you get a guaranteed space in class each week and early priority access to book further block bookings. Enabling you to continue your yoga journey right throughout your pregnancy.

If you have been attending block booked classes, you can access a reduced drop in rate from 36 weeks onwards enabling you to reap the benefits right up to 40+ weeks.

On occasion a drop in rate of £15 per class is offered, however this is always subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

When and Where are the classes held?

Pregnancy yoga classes are held Wednesdays during term time 1pm to 215pm at Lanivet Community Centre. PL30 5HG. Ample parking and easy access.
