Postnatal Mummy and Baby Yoga

Wednesday term time 1130am -1230pm Lanivet one for all Community Centre, Lanivet

Classes are suitable for Mummy and Baby from 6 weeks old to fast crawlers. Focusing on nurturing the post natal recovery for mummy, whilst incorporating songs, sensory aspects and gentle movement for baby.

From after your 6 week check up ( 8/10 weeks for Caesarean births) Post natal yoga is a wonderful way in which to meet other new mothers whilst gently giving yourself permission to honour this time for your own self care whilst connecting with baby.

Postnatally a woman can face may new emotional and physical challenges. Yoga gives you permission to rest and reconnect with yourself, your emotions and the breath; it helps build strength and stamina; aids relaxation and helps you to let go of anxieties, worries and stress.

Classes will focus on the most common postnatal concerns such as pelvic floor, reconnecting to the core, strengthening the lower back, stabilising the pelvis after pregnancy and releasing tension in neck & shoulders.

Baby will also be entertained by incorporating singing, gentle movement and sensory items.

Investment is payable upfront by term time blocks starting from £59 for a 6 week term. Spaces are limited and you are booking your placement for the duration of the term. Regretfully missed classes cannot be carried over onto the next term. £12 drop in rate per class is also offered but is subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

I provide all yoga equipment including mats, you will need to bring water to drink, anything your baby may need (changing bags/muslin cloth/bottles/nappies/favourite toy etc), a blanket for baby to lie on and a blanket /cushion for yourself. Please wear comfortable clothing (layers are usually best)
